Our primary goal during this time of virtual learning is to ensure that our students are engaged with their teachers and classmates. However, not everyone has been able to do so because of the lack of internet access in their homes. The good news is that help has arrived! Starting May 20, we have been deploying mobile hotspots into select neighborhoods through the end of this school year.
This will allow you to connect both district-owned and family-owned devices to the internet for several hours during the school day. Information regarding where and when you will be able to connect to the CSDNB_Mobile Wi-Fi network can be found below.
For the password to the hotspot, please call our IT Help Desk at 860-801-1223 (Spanish speaking) or 860-832-4692.
Please note that the center of the Wi-Fi signal is where the connection is the strongest in that neighborhood. If you are within a range of 300 feet in any direction of the center of the hotspot, you will most likely be able to connect. If you find that you are not in range of this network during the time it is scheduled to be in your neighborhood, you may park in any school parking lot Monday-Friday from 6 AM - 7 PM and connect your district-owned device to the available Wi-Fi networks.
We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to log on each day so your child can engage with their teacher and classmates over the next several weeks and through the last day of school. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support desk via email our contact form or you can call the CSDNB IT Help Desk at 860-801-1223 (Spanish speaking) or 860-832-4692.
Note: Drivers will take a break from 9:50-10:10 AM and 1:35-1:55 PM each day. During this 20-minute timeframe, the hotspot will not be available.
