Technology Services

The MIS/Technology Services Department is responsible for installing and maintaining the district's network equipment and the district-owned devices connected to the network, such as computers, tablets, printers, etc. The Technology Services team is a small group of administrators, network technicians, computer repair and software specialists that work throughout the Consolidated School District of New Britain.

The Department supports devices for the district's 10,000 students and 2,000 staff members. In a typical year, over 4,000 staff and student tickets are addressed.

Device Insurance

The Student Device Insurance Program ($20/school year) is designed to protect students and families in the event that the Chromebook issued to a student is damaged or malfunctions due to no fault of the student.

The Technology Services Department is based out of Slade Middle School, located at 183 Steele Street.

During the academic year, the Technology Services Department is open Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

During the summer, the Technology Services Department is open Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Friday from 7 AM - 1 PM.
