Behind every safe, clean, and welcoming school is a team working every day to support learning. The Operations Department serves as the backbone of the Consolidated School District of New Britain, ensuring our schools are ready for students, staff, and families to thrive.

From custodial services and maintenance to safety, security, and construction projects, our teams care for 15 school buildings, administrative and maintenance facilities, and district properties across New Britain. We are responsible for the daily operation, upkeep, and long-term improvement of our buildings, grounds, and utility systems, always with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Guided by a service-first mindset, the Operations Department responds to needs smarter, acts faster, and builds stronger systems that support teaching and learning. Our work is proactive, responsive, and rooted in partnership, ensuring high-quality environments that align with the district’s strategic goals and serve our entire school community.
