Unified Sports

New Britain High School has the privilege of hosting a CIAC Unified Basketball Tournament! We are honored to host this event annually, welcoming teams, coaches, and families from across the state.

Unified Sports is a registered program of Special Olympics that combines athletes with and without intellectual disabilities (or other developmental delays) on sports teams for training and competition. The cooperative and innovative partnership between the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and Special Olympics Connecticut has had a dramatic impact on the number of school-age children who have the opportunity to participate in organized team sports.

We would like to thank the athletes, staff, JRTOC, New Britain High School Golden Hurricane Marching Band, referees, and all others who volunteer their time to make this event happen!
