ADULT EDUCATION | GED AND ADULT BASIC EDUCATION
The New Britain Adult Education GED Program offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) for learners who need extra practice and GED for learners who have more experience in the subject areas. A level is determined by a placement test that every student takes upon registering. Students will receive instruction in language arts, math, social studies and science enhanced through use of computer technology and academic websites. Instruction is individualized and data driven!
GED/ABE Class Times and Locations
Monday-Thursday from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM at the Adult Education Center located at 183 Steele Street or Monday-Thursday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at New Britain High School located at 110 Mill Street.
Students must be New Britain residents. (Please bring one of the following as proof of residence; rental lease, utility bill etc. along with a valid photo ID.) Students must be at least 17-years-old and no longer enrolled in school. A parent/guardian signature on the application is required for all students 17 years of age.
