NBHS Productions Nominated for 10 Halo Awards

The New Britain High School Music and Drama Departments is once again taking part in the Halo Awards. This year, we submitted our Madrigal Feaste for consideration in addition to our Spring Musical. We are excited to announce that our Madrigal Feaste has been nominated for two awards and our March production of “Frozen” has been nominated for eight Halo Awards!  The Halo Awards, sponsored by the Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury, is a recognition of excellence in High School Theater in Connecticut with similar awards and categories to the Oscars or the Tony Awards.

We were honored to have received nominations for Best Running Crew (The Madrigal Feaste), Best Choreography by Natalia Kondratowicz (“Frozen”), Best Chorus (“Frozen”), Best Standout Performance is an Ensemble Cast (Daniel Mosakowski in the Madrigal Feaste), Best Featured Male Performance (Ayden Zayas in “Frozen”), Best Comedic Male Performance (Daniel Mosakowski in “Frozen”), Best Dynamic Duo (Analia Altiery & Haylee Rivera as Anna and Elsa in “Frozen”), Best Leading Male Performance (Samuel Petrisko in “Frozen”), Best Leading Female Performance (Analia Altiery in “Frozen”) and Best Contemporary Musical for “Frozen”. 

On Wednesday, May 27^th, at the Annual Halo Awards held at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, we will find out if we get to take home any awards. Break a leg NBHS!!
