NBHS Artists Shine on the State Stage!

Huge congratulations to New Britain High School students Julius Cruz, Joshua Henriquez, Kendra Medero Rodriguez, and Nevaeh Texidor on their incredible success at the Connecticut State Scholastic Art Exhibition!

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is a nationwide competition, and earning recognition at the state level is no small feat. This year, more than 2,600 works were submitted across Connecticut—only 20% received awards, and just 7% earned Gold Keys. That makes these accomplishments truly exceptional!

The 2026 CT Regional Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit is free and open to the public from January 12–31, 2026 at the Silpe Gallery, Taub Hall, Hartford Art School (University of Hartford).
