As your Superintendent, I am honored to lead a district that is committed to ensuring every student receives a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life.

Our mission is clear: to become a beacon in public urban education. This means fostering a district where every child—regardless of background or circumstance—has access to exceptional learning experiences, dedicated educators, and a community that believes in their potential. We are striving to set a standard of excellence, not only for our students but for urban districts across the nation.

To achieve this, we are focused on initiatives that strengthen our schools and empower our students. From expanding pathways for diverse educators through our ‘Grow Your Own’ programs to ensuring students and families have the resources they need for postsecondary success, we are committed to removing barriers and creating opportunities that make a lasting impact. 

Collaboration is at the heart of our work. We believe that strong partnerships—with families, educators, local organizations, and community leaders—are essential in fostering student success.
